California Required Sexual Harassment Training – SB 1343
Reminder: California Required Harassment Training
We are halfway through the year! Have you fulfilled California’s requirements for supervisor and employee sexual harassment prevention training?
Effective January 1, 2019, California made a substantial change to mandatory sexual harassment prevention training. Now employers with five or more employees are required to provide (and employees must complete) this training by December 31, 2019. Specifically:
- Supervisors must receive two hours of sexual harassment prevention training.
- Non-supervisory employees must receive one hour of sexual harassment prevention training.
- Training must take place within six months of hire or promotion and every two years thereafter.
To ensure your business is compliant with this new legislation, it is vital to have your employees complete this training by the deadline.
At OmegaComp HR, we offer robust training programs within our suite of HR products and services, to ensure that our clients remain fully compliant and educated on the most important HR legislative topics. Specifically, we are offering the SB 1343 training online for both employees and supervisors.
